DFG Workshop: Indian Environmental Policy - 27th and 28th of October 2016 in Berlin

The Workshop provides the opportunity to collectively discuss the chapters set to form an introductory teaching book addressing environmental policy in India. The chapters addressed during this two-day workshop deal for instance with: the Growing Role of States in Indian Environmental Policy, Questions of Social Equity and Sustainable Development, Dilemmas of Water Governance, and Challenges of Sustainable Energy. The chapters of the teaching book examine the interplay between corporate, governmental, and non-governmental actors and institutions shaping environmental governance in India. It is a collective effort by students from the MAEPP master program and scholars from India, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
